Moodle overview

What is Moodle:

This platform is open source, which is used by teachers, schools, universities, training personnel and others to create quality online courses.
Moodle offers its customers fully-serviced Moodle hosting, remote access to the base, a wide range of advisory and other services. Moodle is composed of modules and this allows to be developed by creating a plugins to add other functionality of the platform. Plugins can write a PHP and to be added as new modules. Moodle work of all the known systems that have support PHP. Moodle use the database to preserve the data entered by users.
Moodle is primarily developed in Linux using Apache, PHP and MySQL, but is also regularly tested with Windows XP/2000/2003, Solaris 10, Mac OS X and Netware 6 operating systems. Support for PostgreSQL, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server is also available.
